Given their design, both the cups and the spoons can stand flat on your work surface, meaning you can fill them at the start, line them up and flick them into your recipe when needed. Forget having to fumble around in your kitchen drawer for your measuring cups or spoons, just grab it from your counter and bring it over to your cooking station.

The Spoons

The spoons are short, wide, and stubby and likely won’t fit in your spice jar. They’re meant to be filled with a separate smaller spoon, then scraped to a perfect measure. If that doesn’t float your boat - we totally get it. Thought we’d give you a fair warning!

 

The Cups

The cups are big and wide and were designed for use with dry ingredients, though this doesn’t mean you can’t use them with liquids — they just don’t have a spout or lip to help control the mess.

 

The Base

The base is milled by machine and hand finished one by one. This batch’s base is made of hard maple, oiled, and waxed to better protect it. The base contains a secret little wooden ‘dasher’ spoon for when you just need a pinch of something. As a bonus, it fits into spice jars and can also be used as a full and level the larger spoons, if that’s your jam.

 

Additional details

  • Each wooden base is made of hard maple and is unique. I’m sure you know this by now but wood is a once-living material and as such, each piece has a slightly different grain, finish, and colouring. Your piece might not look exactly like the one we’ve photographed.

  • In addition, each base is hand-finished. That means they’re not mass-produced but instead have been lovingly sanded, oiled, and waxed by hand.

  • It is possible that when the items nest together there are slight gaps between the “levels” (less than 0.5mm). This is due to their current manufacturing process which we’re looking to optimize shortly.

  • Hand wash to increase product lifespan (refrain from putting it in the dishwasher).
